So, Nuremberg is turning this year Protected content old and celebrates the city's anniversary with a concert by the Nuremberg Symphony Orchestra, which will take place at the Hauptmarkt (Main Market Square).
Admission to the classical concert, conducted by Chief Conductor Jonathan Darlington, is free.
The musical journey begins at 8 p.m. with Georges Bizet's Symphony No. 1 in C major, 4th movement, followed by a welcome address by Artistic Director Prof. Lucius A. Hemmer and greetings from Mayor Marcus König and Bavaria's Minister of the Interior Joachim Herrmann.
Soloist Andrzej Grygier will then play JoaquĂn Rodrigo's "Concierto de Aranjuez" on guitar. Georges Bizet's "Carmen," Suites Nos. 1 and 2 (excerpts), will round off the second part.
