Is the seventh exhibition in the series of annual presentations of the most valuable monuments belonging to Polish war losses recovered in recent years thanks to the restitution activities of the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage. This time we present objects from the pre-war collections of the Czartoryski Estate in Gołuchów. The heart of the exhibition is the diptych "Mater Dolorosa" and "Ecce Homo", which returned to the Castle in Gołuchów from Spain at the beginning of this year after over 80 years.
Izabela Działyńska née Czartoryska Protected content was the daughter of Prince Adam Jerzy Czartoryski Protected content , known as the "King of Polish Emigration", and Princess Anna née Sapieha Protected content . Born in Warsaw, at the age of three she emigrated with her family to France after the fall of the November Uprising. She grew up in the Hotel Lambert in Paris, in an atmosphere of patriotism and love for the field of art. From an early age, they looked like a collector's passion. Already at the age of 20, she made her first purchases of works of art in European antique shops and at auctions.
