Follow a Cooking lesson in French Language !!

With Florence, our professional french cooker, you will learn how to cook a Financier, one the most famous and delicous pastry you will try ever! At the same time, you will improve your french skills: speaking, asking and hearing all about this recipe and much more with great cooking stories and tips!

A financier is a type of pastry made with eggs, almond flour, butter and sugar. We will provide you all information before the activity and ingredients and also assitance during the event in order to prepare properly your financier ́s recipe with us.

It will takes us around fourty five minutes to prepare the pastry before placing into the oven for fifteen minutes. After have cooked these culinary delight, we will enjoy it with a cup of coffee or tea during the rest of the activity.
Our Cooking lesson will takes place a superb vaulted brick cellar in the heart of the well know area of Madrid named LA LATINA, five minutes walking from Palacio Real.

Join us to fill in of sweet smells this nice cellar!

History of the financier:
The story of the financier dates from the Middle Ages when the Sisters of a religious order, the Visitandinnes in Lorraine (North-East of France) made oval cupcakes with almond. However, this pastry visitandinne fell into disuse after the Renaissance because people were suspicious of all products with almond believing that the kernel was toxic (due in particular to the fact that arsenic smelled bitter almond). The cupcake was reinterpreted by pastry chef Lasne in Protected content meet the needs of businessmen (or
