Hiking from Forch to Meilen – Trail Pfannenstiel

Dear hiking friends,

The hike across the Pfannenstiel ridge offers great views of Lake Zurich. The route leads from the station Forch to the forest, to a panoramic view over the Greifensee into the Zurich Oberland. The roads to Toggwil climb very gradually through the woods. When you leave the woods, you will have a view of Lake Zurich, and from Toggwil the path through the Meilen Tobel is very varied and it takes you to the ruins of the Friedberg fortress, after passing a large waterfall.

The hike is 12km long (3 hour duration) with a difference in elevation of 150m.

At the end of the tour in Meilen there are many places for us to have lunch or enjoy a drink (for anyone interested)

kindly wear hiking shoes, bring some water with you of course, and take good care from the sun.
