TOPIC of DISCUSSION for this event: “Fahrenheit 451”.

“Fahrenheit Protected content a Protected content dystopian drama film directed by François Truffaut and starring Oskar Werner, Julie Christie, and Cyril Cusack. Based on the Protected content of the same name by Ray Bradbury, the film takes place in a controlled society in an oppressive future in which the government sends out firemen to destroy all literature to prevent revolution and thinking. Fahrenheit Protected content was made after “the dystopian novel by American writer Ray Bradbury, published in Protected content . It is regarded as one of his best works. The novel presents a future American society where books are outlawed and "firemen" burn any that are found. The book's tagline explains the title: "Fahrenheit Protected content the temperature at which book paper catches fire, and burns..." The lead character is a fireman named Montag who becomes disillusioned with the role of censoring works and destroying knowledge, eventually quitting his job and joining a resistance group who memorize and share the world's greatest literary and cultural works.

The novel has been the subject of interpretations focusing on the historical role of book burning in suppressing dissenting ideas. In a Protected content interview,[6] Bradbury said that he wrote Fahrenheit Protected content of his concerns at the time (during the McCarthy era) about the threat of book burning in the United States. This is a DISCUSSION SERIES about different topics from different areas of life and, of course, from all over the world. Over time we will cover all kinds of topics.

RULES of the event: Please come with the idea in mind that we will be discussing about the above topic over drinks or dinner. You don’t have to make any special preparation except watching the movie or reading the book in question. Come by and let us know what you think. In a respectful manner.

As we begin discussing different topics, keep in mind that each of your arguments should be convincing. Try not to just bring out points, but actually speak in-depth and give reasons as to why you feel the way you do. You might get nervous, but remember that people are genuinely interested in what you have to say.
