Located deep in the woods between Velká and Malá Chuchle, this Baroque church from Protected content one of Prague’s most unusual hidden places. The church has no electricity and is illuminated only by candles, creating a quiet and atmospheric setting.
The walk passes:
✨ the spring of the Virgin Mary
✨ a small forester’s lodge with a mini zoo
✨ forest paths above the Vltava River
The church was traditionally connected with St. John of Nepomuk, who is said to have travelled this route on pilgrimages to Zbraslav.
⚠️ Important:
Moderate uphill walk (comfortable shoes recommended)
Not recommended for people with mobility difficulties
Cars are not allowed near the church without special permission
