Cantinas Walking Tour. Salud!

Hot weather came early this year and so did our cantinas walking tour!
Historically a private space for men to drink, chat, and play domino, nowadays cantinas are traditional gathering places for friends and families where everyone’s invited: the rich and the poor, labor workers, university students, and bankers, everyone’s a comrade. Cantinas are all about celebrating like good Mexicans, saying Salud!
Unfortunately, they are becoming extinct. Less than 30 of the original ones still exist.
We will visit a unique cantina, learn its importance in the history of Mexico, and enjoy free time in the ultimate place for traditional music lovers: Salón Tenampa with mariachis and bands from all the country.
Included:
- Walking tour for approx. 5 hours visiting traditional cantinas:
1. Bar Gante
2. El Gallo de Oro
3. La Faena
4. La Mezcalería
5. Salón Tenampa
- Buffet lunch
- Mezcal tasting
- Raffle
- Bilingual guide
Not included:
- Drinks or additional food. I recommend asking for the specialty cocktail in each cantina.
- Songs in Salón Tenampa ($130 each). We can listen music from other tables free.
- Tips for the waiters and guide.
IMPORTANT: limited space, reserve by making a deposit before March 15, either the whole amount $650 or at least $300 pesos and the rest in cash at the tour.Protected content
