THRACE WINE ROUTE II ~ KIRKLARELI VINEYARDS

Thrace, a geographical area that is split between modern day Bulgaria, Greece, and Turkey, possesses a centuries old tradition of wine making.
Let's continue visiting Wine Routes of Turkey and learn about this ancient tradition of humankind as we learn about the culture of these regions.
On this route, we will be visiting 2 popular Vineyard and Winery, in the The City of Kirklareli region, the Northern border to Bulgaria, the geographic heir to the ancient Thracians who practiced farming and viticulture in the area. They keep the tradition alive with its chateau-style boutique wine production. The winemaker families grow Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Pinot Noir, Syrah, Zinfandel and Öküzgözü type vines. Let’s go and explore it all together.
