Thrace Vineyards; Hello, Fall!
Are you ready for autumn colors and vibes!!! Let's continue visiting wineries of Turkey as we learn about Thrace. A geographical area that includes modern day Bulgaria, Greece, and Turkey, Thrace is a place still home to the centuries-old tradition of wine making. Let’s also have some good times outdoors enjoying the first signs of Autumn and the amazing colors it brings.
Close to Bulgaria in Turkey’s most northern reaches, this area was inhabited by the ancient Thracians who practiced farming and viticulture. They keep the tradition alive with their chateau-style boutique wine production.
The winemaker families there now grow Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Pinot Noir, Syrah, Zinfandel and Öküzgözü grapes. Let’s go and explore it all together.
We will visit two vineyards and stop at one of them long enough to not just taste, but enjoy its lovely rustic outdoor ambiance and possibly munch on some specialty yummies.
“Cheers for Fall; for life; for a growing soul.”
