With World Press Photo Protected content , WestLicht is bringing the most important showcase of international press photography to Vienna for the 25th time.

The World Press Photo exhibition brings together the world’s best work in the field of photojournalism. In times that often seem confusing, it is the images captured by press photographers — often taken at the risk of their lives — that provide orientation. They connect us to the world, make abstract news tangible, and show us reality.

The 42 award-winning images were selected by international expert juries from a total of 57,376 submissions by more than 3,747 photographers from Protected content .

Afterwards we may visit one of the surrounding pubs.

Parking in the area will be a challenge - best reached by public transport. The closest stop is "Kaiserstrasse / Westbahnstrasse" of trams number 5 and 9.
