Concert "Contre L'effondrement"
Dear friends,
We go back to Protected content nice and cosy place for music lovers.
Laurence Mekhitarian offers a musical programme inspired by anxiety about a world that is collapsing and sinking into inhumanity, revealed in broad daylight through its wars, political complicity and the resulting impunity.
Against this deadly and moral violence, an artist's questioning responds with its weapons – nostalgia and memory against oblivion, revolt and cries against unspeakable horror, serenity of unalterable beauty.
The programme will include pieces for four-hand piano, violin and piano, as well as traditional Armenian songs accompanied by the duduk.
Alternating with the music, first-hand accounts from the Gaza Strip will be read by Marianne Blume, an active member of the ABP.
Works by Bach, Schubert, Kurtág, Tchaikovsky, Debussy, Komitas, etc.
