The unique Curfá Gaelic/Nordic choir returns with ritual religious traditional songs from Iceland, the Appalachian Mountains, Catalonia, Norway, the Hebrides and Sweden.

The Curfá Gaelic Nordic Choir was created in February Protected content ethnomusicologist and conductor of the choir, Labrini Astrid Yioti Andersson.

It consists of 22 members, all students of the Irish, Scottish and Scandinavian singing seminars taught by the choir master.

The choir is educational in nature, due to the fact that all students come from the seminaries, in order to learn a difficult repertoire involving the Gaelic language or other traditional singing styles.

Its name means "refrain" in the Gaelic (Celtic) language.

The choir's repertoire consists of traditional monophonic and polyphonic songs, as well as orchestral music in transcription for choir from Ireland, Scotland, Sweden, Iceland, and Norway.

It is the only choir of its kind in the Balkans.

The choir performs traditional love and fishing songs, pastoral songs, hymns and lullabies in English and Gaelic (Celtic) languages as well as in old Nordic dialects.

It has participated, among others, in the Athens Celtic Music Festival, Athens Irish Festival, in events of the Irish Embassy, in the Hellenic American Union, in the Cinema Trianon, Gagarin, Folk Choir Festival Tripoli etc.
