The Magic of the "Cantada" in the Streets of Plaka
In a musical walk through the narrow streets of Plaka, the Karaviotis Brothers will reveal the spectacle of the Cantada.
(Kantada or cantada, from the Italian verb cantare = to sing - in general, is a type of serenade. There are mainly two types, the kantada from the Ionian Islands, and the kantada of Athens.)
The contemporary troubadours will walk and play iconic songs ending with a small concert including a vocal quartet and soloists accompanied by an ensemble with a mandolin, two guitars, and a bass.
