A HAPPY SAILING EVENT FOR ALL MONOHULL BOAT CLASSES
The idea for this regatta series brought one of our members from Australia, and since Australia is equated with kangaroos in this country, he and the regatta he initiated was given this unusual name. This regatta is open to all the swamp boat classes, it is started according to the Yardstick system. What is special about the kangaroo start system is the rail length in advance in time and the resulting start time for each individual boat.
In its club's own kangaroo start list, the Hamburg sailing club covers a wide spectrum of boat classes: from teeny with the number Protected content Int.14 footer with the number of yardstick 88. There is no difference whether it is a thick ship or about acts a dinghy. It is important that each boat must be grouped according to the yardstick system.
The number of participants speak the rest for the popularity of this event. Participants from 50 to Protected content come about per race. The race series runs from late April to mid -September.
