MADRID - ***FULLY BOOKED***l city you've never visited!
MADRID - possibly the best capital city you've never visited!
The nerve centre of Spain, both physically and culturally, Madrid is short of nothing; whether you’re a sun seeker, a culture lover or both. What Madrid lacks in beaches and coasts it makes up for in art galleries, large open lush gardens, streets lined with Spain’s best tapas bars and a city atmosphere that never dwindles no matter the time of day, week or month.
Narrow, cobbled streets leading to bustling squares and breathtaking historical architecture hidden around every corner maintain the cities quaint, Spanish vibe, yet its new metropolitan infrastructure and modern enhancements really represent Madrid’s present, and future, as Spain’s most important city.
To most foreigners, Barcelona is the Spanish city. Yet to the Spanish, Madrid is their Capital, not just in name but in style, fashion, culture and, yes, football. It’s a magnificent city, Madrid. Three of the best museums in the world are here, and maybe the world’s most amazing park.
The weather in September is expected to be 29°C high Protected content low.
We'll organise our time in more detail once we know who's coming.
The only commitment right now is buying the ticket - which Ryanair provides at a reasonable price (see below). It leaves from Koeln/Bonn Airport. Accommodation can be booked later, normally with no payment obligation till shortly before travel.
The proposed weekend is the 1st-4th Sept. (the next weekend, on the 10th Sep. is the Vuelta's last stage finish in Madrid, so it'll be busy, crowded and hectic):
If you are interested, please register for the activity. As soon as we are around 4 people committed to coming along, we can go ahead and get our tickets. Due to the spaces being limited to between 6 and 8 people, please note that just registering for the activity does NOT guarantee a place on this trip. Only people with bought tickets and who have communicated it on this Activity Board or to me can be assured a place. Don´t put off the decision for too long as flights do tend to go up.
Note: Please join us if you enjoy spontaneous travelling with a mixed group and all that comes with that (e.g. being flexible, patient and tolerant). If you need rigid travel structures, you should maybe consider making a different kind of travel arrangement. =:D
Also, the expenses are normally calculated with a dedicated group travelling App (like Settle-Up) so the issue of money does not interfere with the enjoyment. Also, from experience, it is highly recommended that we all stay together in the same hotel, apartment or complex. I hope you will all agree with these basic considerations for the good of the experience at large.
So, check your diaries and "BOOK A TICKET AND JUST LEAVE!"
Sorry, but you are not allowed to join this Activity Group!
We are afraid that you cannot join, because the Group Consuls have limited access to this Activity Group.
