La Grande Fête Française: The Düsseldorf France Festival

This will be the 21st edition of the France festival which takes place every summer on the other side of the Rhine - seen from the Cologne perspective, that means: not anywhere beyond the border, but in Düsseldorf!

Two weeks ahead of the French National Day, the famous Rheinuferpromenade will turn into a big open air market, where exhibitors from all over France come to show the delicacies and products that the country has to offer: a great variety of wines and cheeses to name the most obvious, seafood specialties such as oysters, but also handcrafts and textiles. Besides, an Oldtimer show takes place here every year and different music bands make for the final touch.

This three-days-festival is also a great opportunity to cultivate the French-German bilateral relationships, known to be among the strongest in the European Union.

The festival itself will be held from 30th June to 02nd July and we'll meet there on Saturday 1st July.
