Located on the Danube in the heart of Europe, the capital of Hungary fascinates through its elegant architecture. It's divided in two distinct parts that occupy each side of the river - on the right bank „Buda“, the historic upper town with the Halaszbastya (Fisherman's Bastion) and other palaces overlooking the left bank and the modern lower city, „Pest“, with the prominent bridges and the unmistakable, massive parliament building „Orszaghaz“.

Budapest is also reknowned as a thermal city through the baths „Széchenyi“ that are an essential part of the Hungarian culture, as the sauna is part of the Scandinavian one.

When the sun goes down, and with Christmas time approaching, the city starts to glow with thousands of lights and transforms itself into a colorful, magical universe. Strollling around in the numerous markets, you will get captivated by the intense smell of mulled wine and spices, the tasty local food and a festive atmosphere to be experienced in no other place.
