We'll spend the first week of october in Thessaloniki and its surroundings on the blue Agean Sea.

Thessaloniki is the second largest city of Greece and the capital of the region of Central Macedonia, in the North of the country. It has an obvious historic dimension and, aside of its old town with numerous churches, boasts a big archeological museum as well as ancient monuments dating back to the Ottoman and Byzantine eras - the White Tower, the Heptapyrgion („Seven Towers“), an imposant fortress built on top of a hill, and a big statue to the memory of Alexander The Great, to name a few. Thessaloniki has nowadays one of Greece's biggest harbours and is a center of commercial shipping in the Agean Sea and in the eastern Mediterranean.

We'll also take some time to explore the area around Chalkidiki and the „three peninsulas“ which is probably among the most beautiful places in Northern Greece, with small coves and idyllic beaches on a rugged coastline, typical villages, and monasteries hidden in the pine forests.

Suggestions of flights, accomodations and itinerary will follow.
Everyone will book their flights individually.
