Once a Year, It's Time of the Wild Boar Festival

Hi to everybody!! As we do every yeaer, we go back to Capalbio for the Sagra del Cinghiale, to enjoy the delicious, and typical of Maremma, food they prepare there. So, let's go again to Capalbio, this splendid medieval village for the traditional Wild Boar Festival. Every year, the event takes place during the second week of September, from Wednesday to Sunday. The historic Wild Boar Festival, organized by the C.O.S.C. (Wild Boar Festival Organizing Committee), awaits us in Capalbio with its streets ablaze with celebrations, showcasing the ancient recipes of Maremma cuisine: wild boar-based dishes such as wild boar cacciatora, ammazzafegati, grilled wild boar, as well as polenta and acquacotta.
It has now become an unmissable summer event in Capalbio, evoking in every visitor the sensations, scents, and colors of ancient traditions—something that is difficult to find these days. This is why this festival goes on every year, preserving intact all the traditions that are part of the local culture. To get to Capalbio, you can go by car (I should have 2 spots avalaible) or by train taking the Regionale Veloce Roma-Pisa, which stops in Capalbio. After lunch, if you want we can visit the town or enjoy the beaches near Capalbio that every year confirm themselves among the most beautiful in Italy for the purity of their sea, earning the 5 sails from Legambiente. See you there, call us for any additional information or help. See you there!
