Riverside Walk With Lunch
Walking along the Amstelriver just outside the city gives a feeling of joy and freedom. At least that is what it gave me last time. Starting from station RAI we first cross the lush Amstelpark. Then we get on the Amsteldijk. We follow this dyke until the village Ouderkerk aan de Amstel.
This distance from RAI is 70 minutes walk. However I reserve two hours for that, so that we can halt at nice spots on our way.

Don't feel obliged to have a full lunch; you could also have something small or just a drink.
Those who feel like it can return to Amsterdam by bus. The others can finish the tour by walking back, preferably along the opposite river bank.
