Photo Exhibition: Luc Delahaye, the Noise of the World
Born in Protected content , Luc Delahaye was a renowned war photojournalist in the Protected content and a former member of the Magnum agency. He belongs to a generation of photographers who reworked the relationship between documentary and artistic practices. After publishing his images in the press and in books, in the Protected content he turned his attention to large-format photography and gallery walls, while retaining the documentary nature of his images and continuing to address current affairs.
This exhibition, the first in Paris since Protected content , offers a retrospective look at twenty-five years of creative work. It brings together some forty large-format photographs, some of which are being shown for the first time and were created especially for the occasion, a video on the Syrian conflict, which Luc Delahaye has been working on for many years, and a large installation in a format that is new for the artist.
