Colours in the Sky – Kite Festival Photography
Join us for a colourful photography walk during one of the most spectacular outdoor events in the Netherlands!
The International Kite Festival transforms the beach of Scheveningen into a giant open-air gallery filled with incredible flying art. Giant whales, dragons, octopuses, geometric shapes and hundreds of colourful kites create endless photographic opportunities.

The goal isn't just taking beautiful photos but also learning to see differently while enjoying a relaxed afternoon with fellow photography enthusiasts.
What we'll photograph...
Instead of simply photographing kites, let's give everyone mini creative challenges.
Challenge 1
Colour Explosion - Photograph the most colourful scene possible.
Think about: contrast; composition; negative space
Challenge 2
Giant vs Human - Show the scale.
Include people walking underneath the giant kites.
Challenge 3
Abstract Photography, Zoom in - Forget the whole kite.
Photograph only: texture, fabric, colour, curves, shadows
