Molière - Uma comédia Musical
Molière is a dispute between the comedy, represented by the comediógrafo Molière (Matheus Nachtergaele), and the tragedy, personified by the poet Jean Racine (Elcio Nogueira Seixas). Loved by the audience and favorite of the extravagant Louis XIV, King Sol (Nilton Bicudo), Molière will face in a tragicomic fight, full of tricks and twists, his apprentice Racine for the position of best playwright of the court. Meanwhile, the fanatical archbishop of Paris, Monsignor Péréfixe (Renato Borghi), enthusiast of the war, will try to take advantage of the conflict to ban the Theater and its artists from the kingdom, to launch France in an era of conquest and sacrifice. Is it more noble to make the audience laugh or cry? Should artists show the world as it is or should be? Why prohibit works of art and pursue their creators? To what extent should those who create be subject to the will of those who pay? These are some of the great issues of the play.
Packed with music by Caetano Veloso, performed live and with original arrangements by maestro Gilson Fukushima, the musical comedy is part of the cultural exchange project promoted by SESI and Teatro Promíscuo, with the aim of enhancing Latin American dramaturgy.
The ticket is free but you have to pick it up at 11am in the theater itself. If you go alone, take 2 tickets (each person can get 2) and let me know because there are people who can not pick you up and you're helping!
