With the Archeologist to the First Czech Christian Settlement
The unique opportunity to visit the right place with the right person. Levý Hradec is an early medieval Bohemian gord situated 3 km northwest of Prague borders near Roztoky, in the Czech Republic. This fortified settlement served as the original seat of Bořivoj I, the first known Přemyslid ruler. It was built on a promontory on the left bank of the Vltava River approximately in mid-9th century.
Ater this part of the trip, we will move by foot (about 2 km) or by bus to Archevita that found its place in the building of the original barn of the Central Bohemian Museum. You will be presented with many interesting things from the prehistoric period, from original types of dwellings on a 1:1 scale, through archaeological finds to reconstructions of burial complexes. Everything is supplemented with computer perspectives and holographic projections. The gallery presents prehistoric exhibits supplemented with grave models, including video mapping. The unique exhibition thus offers an unforgettable experience by connecting archaeology with modern technologies.
From Roztoky wwe will come back to Prague train with frequent time schedule.
