Practice A Foreign Language With A Native Speaker!
We will meet at 6pm at Dupont Circle near the fountain. I will have an InterNations sign.
This is our first event and we are trying out Dupont Circle. There are banches and we can sit around the fountain. Please be patient if this is not yet the ideal place for our event which is planned to happen once a month.
After a short waiting time for everybody to arrive, we will start forming groups for Spanish, English, German, French etc. The groups will practice for about 20 minutes then we rotate. This way, native speakers can offer their native expertise and then move to a group to practice a foreign language. I have organized these kinds of language exchanges for IN in NYC before and they were very popular!
Please post in the comments if you are willing to help a group with your native language so we can see what languages will most likely be offered. We already have a German group for sure - I am offering my help with the German group! Los geht's!
Bring a blanket, cushion or folding chair - just in case we have to move our groups to the lawn.
