Historic Sephardic Valencia

After the Valencia pogrom of Protected content building of the “Juderia” of Valencia have mostly disappeared. From old maps we can find the layout of the old Jewish quarters and we will go over a few of the spaces that remain.
This is not a photo shoot tour but much more of an evocation of the people who lived there.
We will follow in the footsteps of some of the outstanding members of Valencia’s Sephardic Jewish community. Some of the personalities profiled are Luis de Santángel and Luis Vives, both from Valencian Jewish converso familie. They are examples of the remarkably high cultural level encountered in the Sephardim.
The tour starts at 11 am. Meeting at Protected content
Optionally, at the end of the tour, we have organised a traditional lunch similar to the one that prosperous Sephardies would have enjoyed. The lunch is a complete set of traditional dishes. All the food is Halal which is similar to Kosher.
