Irish IT Professional - Moving to Alicante

Holaaaaa!!

I hope this message finds you all in good spirits. My name is Michael, Mike, Mick, take your pick ha!

I'm an IT professional from Ireland, reaching out to this legend community for guidance and assistance. Having lived in Murcia in a beautiful town called Cabezo de Torres a few years ago, I've experienced the warmth and hospitality Spain has to offer, and I'm excited to return, this time to Alicante, in the next few months, latest by end of the year all depending on how the job hunt goes!

I hold a diploma in Full Stack Software Development and I currently work at Microsoft as a Service Engineer, supporting an AI voice recognition software.
With 4+ years of experience in the IT sector, particularly in Technical Support / Product Support and Technical Specialist roles, I am eager to contribute my skills to business needs in Alicante.

I'm also very realistic about the job market having lived in Murcia a few years ago so I am reaching out to see if anyone here might be looking for someone with my background or could kindly keep an eye out for relevant opportunities. I believe in networking and community support, and I'm hopeful that this community can help bridge connections.

A bit more about my professional background:

Extensive experience in supporting AI voice recognition software, with a foundation in full stack software development.

Studied and built websites and apps with HTML5, CSS, JavaScript and Python.

I'm currently studying CompTIA Security+ and aiming to take my exam around June and successfully passing the exam I have a goal of securing an entry level role in cybersecurity in the future.

I am also keen to hear suggestions, advice, or insights about living and working in Alicante. Information about the local IT job market or any job market as I also need to be realistic that landing work in IT is not going to be easy so any lines of work are welcome. If you know of any online networking events this would also be incredibly valuable.

On a personal level, I am very sociable person, love to meet new people, grab a drink, go for a walk and I love a bit of live music and the craic at a karaoke gig!

Love sports too, can throw my self at any sport and enjoy it for the fun of it.

Genuinely looking forward to meeting people on this platform and can't wait to see what the future holds for me in Alicante.
