Dual Passports (Almaty)

Does anyone have any knowledge or experience of holding dual passports in Kazakhstan? Particularly EU passports and Kazakh.
I’d like to apply for one for my wife who's Kazakh simply to make it easier for us to travel together without her having to apply for visas all the time.
I’m aware that dual nationality is not exactly recognised by Kazakhstan. Can anyone advise on what kind of difficulties or risks this poses and whether they can be avoided in practice.
