Job offer in Hoofddorp and not sure about moving (Amsterdam)

I am an Irish guy 20 years of age who has been offered an 8 month job in Hoofddorp with a tech company. Not sure I want to live there though, the language barrier is probably my main concern as I have no Dutch and do not really want to learn it either, I am aware that a lot of people have english but still. Also from reading I get the impression that this is a sleepy town with little to do in the evenings and at night. I will always be considered a foreigner in this country I feel compared to an english speaking country where my accent would really be the only give away. Not going could be be a huge mistake though. My only concern to be honest is socially how I would get on.
