Hi Folks, My name is Melissa and I am new to this forum so please excuse me if I am putting this note in the wrong place. I wanted to let my fellow expats know about a free event I am doing tomorrow at this cool shop/gallery/workshop place called Creatieve Garage. This Saturday, throughout the day and starting at 1pm, demonstrations of various methods of textile use in jewelry making will be explored. Demonstrations will consist of:
*Kumihimo (Japanese braiding technique) including how to make your own disk, *small scale loom use for beading and textiles, *friendship bracelets 101, *macrame knotting, *knitting cords using a knitting tool and using wire as a knitting technique.
This is just a friendly introduction and play session and all are welcome. Please keep in mind that the demonstrations will be in English as the instructors Dutch is just awful! Keep in mind also that this is a free session so don't tease her too much about her language skills.
The address of the Garage is Bellamystraat 91 and the link for the shop is here: Protected content
