Visiting Catalonia to plan move (Barcelona)

My husband and I are planning a trip to Barcelona and Valencia to scout out the cities as well as the beach cities along the coast for a potential move for our family. I have lived in Barcelona Protected content ago during college) so am fairly familiar with the culture. My husband has never been to Spain but his preference is to live in a beach community rather then be in a city center. We have a 4 year old so will also need to consider international school for her. The only city I have planned is Tarragona but would greatly appreciate recommendations on cities/locations! Thanks.
