need info abt moving to Berlin with family

hello all.
could any one shed some info what should i do in my particular situation:
we are family of 3. Myself, i have 2 citizenships(Canadian and Polish), my wife is Canadian.
To get a job, i understand, i need working permit (Arbeitserlaubnis),. however which citizenship will be more reliable to obtain the permit.

Should i apply for the work permit as a Canadian, or as a Polish?

Any ideas?
