New to Berlin - Finding a place on short notice

Hi everyone!

I'm excited to be moving to Berlin Mach 8th. I'm trying to figure out what my plan should be in regards to finding a place to rent for a few months.

My current idea is rent a place in "central" Berlin (someplace between Mitte, Kreuzberd, and Prenzlauer Berg?) via AirbBNB for the first week. I'll then explore the neighborhoods and look for longer-term accommodation Protected content .

I'd like to find a furnished place since I own very little and like to stay mobile. Either a 1 bedroom apartment or share a flat with other people.

I'm trying to stick close to the tech/programmer scene, with close proximity to cafes, parks, gyms, yoga studios, and similar stuff.

What are realistic expectations? Am I giving myself too little time?

Also, what are reasonable prices for flat shares or furnished 1 bedrooms? What's realistic for under €700/month (rent + utilities)?
