Anyone for tennis? LTA - Aegon Classic 9-15 June (Birmingham)

Hi everyone, hope you are all enjoying the weather! Let's hope that it stays hot and dry for the tennis season!

The LTA - Aegon Classic will be taking place at Edgbaston Priory Club Protected content 2014. It's a fantastic pre Wimbledon tennis tournament set in beautiful grounds. I saw Maria Sharapova play there a couple of years ago, which was great!

Top tennis stars confirmed to play this year are: Jelena Jankovic, Ana Ivanovic, Sabine Lisicki, and Urszula Radwanska to name but a few.

Entry to the qualifying tournament on Saturday 7th and Sunday 8th is free, no ticket is required. ( I might pop in on Saturday or Sunday depending on the weather!)

There is a Rally for Bally Exhibition Match for British tennis player Elena Baltacha, who recently passed away. This match will take place on finals day, Sunday 15th June and you will need a centre court ticket to gain access. It will be a doubles match with Martina Navratilova, Anne Keothavong, Tim Henman and Jamie Murray!!!

A lot obviously depends on the weather but it would be great to go on Sunday 15th June, if it doesn't sell out. It would be lovely to watch international tennis with our international friends! : )
