Conference in Brazil, any suggestions appreciated (Brussels)

Any Brazilian out there? :-) we are organizing a meeting in Rio and was wondering if anybody could have any suggestions about areas where to book rooms for meeting, companies which might help with this task or even good hotels which have rooms available for meetings with moderate prices. Also, as we are thinking of organiseing a conference and fun stuff activities are also important, any good suggestion for post-conference activities might be helpful, it will be November time, any suggestion you guys might have will be greatly appreciated.
