discovering the Brabant Channels (Brussels)

On 1st of May, a big event, including boats, bicycles, walks and visits, will be organized on and around the channels and rivers of Brabant and Brussels for the beginning of the tourist boating season. For the whole day the waterways, the curiosities and nature will be honoured in the Brabant wallon, Brabant flamand and in Brussels.
This day will be the beginning of this year's tourisitic navigation season in central Belgium and aims to draw the public's attention to the old Brabant channels and demonstrate the role they play in leisurely transport, tourism and recreation. The idea is also to inform people of the role these axes play in interregional discovery.
It will be possible to navigate, cycle, walk or to participate in guided tours on and around the Senne Channel, the Brussels-Escaut channel, the Charleroi-Brussels channel, the Louvain-Dyle channel, the Senne and the Dyle.
All activities will be free of charge with the exception of boat trips (ticket 1 Euro).
