Relocating in August for work and I need advice! (Cairo)

Hello everyone,
I am relocating to Cairo in August for work and I'm trying to decide on a place to live. My job is near Sheikh Zayed City, but I am not certain if there is an expat community there. I want to be near other expats, but I am used to living in the suburbs and I like the quiet of the suburbs but I want my family to feel connected and enjoy the experience as well. Please offer any advice. I have had long commutes to work before in crazy traffic, but I understand the traffic in Cairo is different. Where do you guys work and live? How long is the average commute? Is living in the expat community worth the long commute?
