Renewing tourist visa in Egypt - is it possible? (Cairo)

Hi all,
I arrived in Egypt with 3 months tourist visa and would like to renew for another 3 months while waiting for my paper works sorted out to apply for resident visa.
Do you know anybody/agent who could help with this? please kindly advise!!!
