from Hong Kong to Calgary. Worried & need advice

Hi ladies and gentlemen here,

I'll probably have to move to Calgary for some reason. I'll visit in the end of April first and see how I feel.

I just a bit hesitate as I afraid that Calgary would be a bit too different from Hong Kong,in terms of the weather and the city itself. Also, about the job market. As you may know, it's really convenient in Hong Kong as shops and restaurents are opened till mid-night. And the Metro System reaches every districts. Also, somebody from Calgary told me that it's not as safe as in Hong Kong that I could walk alone on the street at 3am being totally safe.

About the job, I'm currently a regional brand manager at an European listed company on consumer goods, handling the Asia markets. I know that economics in Calgary is blooming, but is the job market more on the natural resources industry? Would it be possible for me to get a job there with marketing background? I'm really worried.

It would be great if anyone could give me an insight.

Thanks and greeting from Hong Kong.
