Help for newcomers seeking registration with APEGA (Calgary)

For those who are interested, APEGA (Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta) is offering assistance for newcomers seeking their professional licensure. If you are new to Canada and Alberta, and finding yourself bewildered about APEGA's numerous requirements as I once was, this could be helpful for you.

"APEGA wants to enhance our work with you and help new Canadians with engineering and geoscience education and experience to earn their professional designations. APEGA is now offering added hands-on assistance for newcomers to navigate the road to professional licensure.

Mr. Guillermo Barreiro, P.Eng., is APEGA's new Manager of Internationally Educated Graduate Integration and Liaison. He is a Professional Engineer who came to Canada in Protected content Columbia, earning his P.Eng. in Protected content . Guillermo will help internationally educated graduates understand and prepare to meet the requirements of becoming a licenced engineer or geoscientist in Alberta. Through one-on-one and group sessions, he'll help those newcomers identify the documents, structure and style needed to submit an effective licence application on-line. Following APEGA'S evaluation of the application, Guillermo will help applicants understand their progress and the path forward.
