Fuel across Tanzania (Dar es Salaam)

Hi, we're relocating to Dar in a few months time, but are planning to drive up there from Botswana, through Zambia, and then visit the rest of Tanzania before heading to Dar. Can anyone give us an idea if unleaded petrol is available across the country? We're hearing rumours that it isn't, but can't get a definitive answer...
