From her early days, traveling around the West in a school bus named “Olive Oyl,” to the wild jungles of Papua New Guinea, including years in the international hot spot of Marbella, Spain, Pixie Glore has been the consummate traveling artist. Stuffing paints, brushes, paper and canvas into suitcases and backpacks, along with her pallet of lively colors, she has sketched from trains, planes, boats, busses and, most recently, from the top of a Mayan Pyramid. Sky blue, turquoise, viridian green, purple and pink oils best capture the drama of Andalucia Spain, where she lived for l5 years, and the lush colors of the Cote-d'Azure of Southern France, having lived there for a year and half. Her watercolor portraits of people are show stoppers that portray a sensitivity rarely captured. Her global art adventure is eclectic and large, reflecting people, landscapes, and animals in a variety of style and technique as she grows as an artist across time and imagination. The brightness of her colors give variety and beauty to her canvases regardless of subject or place. Don't miss this rare opportunity to see this collection of paintings from this award winning international artist.
Pixie Glore fully realizes the privilege of being an American, so at every opportunity she paints, donates, and does fund-raising for the people and places she ha
s traveled to. Together she and the Great Western Art Gallery will be donating l0% of sales to the microcredit charity, Friendship Bridge, that gives low interest business loans to the poor women of Guatemala.
