Me too! Moving to your fair city, would love some help! (Dubai)

Hello all,

I recently took a position in Dubai (Media City). This is my first full time employment post college and I have a few questions for you guys.

1) As far as living goes, I've been told to live in the Marina (studio/share) or JBR (share). Would you say these are good locations for a young expat? Are they fairly close to DMC?

2) Is Dubizzle a good source for finding reliable flatmates? There seem to be a lack of pictures on that site... how hard can it be to snap a pic of the room you are renting out?

3) Is having a car a given (aka do you actually need it?)

Any advice (and etc) would be great.
