Recycle Plastic Bags? (Dubai)

Hi, does anyone know where I can recycle (dispose) of the million plastic bags that have accumulated in my cupboard? I"m afraid if I take them to the big recycling bins at the supermarkets the bags will just get trashed, i.e. thrown out. Some are good sturdy shop bags, some thin grocery bags.
Anyone know if a greater effort is made for the bags themselves? I use them over and over if I can as garbage bags, lunch bags, etc... but, you know as well as I, there's too many of them!!!
help....? I'm getting swallowed alive :)
