The Green Community and Commuting (Dubai)

My husband, 1 year old son, future baby and I are moving to Dubai next month. We saw a house we loved in the Green Community, but my husband was told that the commute to the DIFC where he will be working was too long. Does anyone have any thoughts about the commute, the neighbourhood or any other neighbourhoods we should look in?
