UAE arts therapies, music, movement and drama! (Dubai)

Hi all just to let you know about exciting new developments in Dubai.

Art Therapy International Centre (ATIC) in Dubai is expanding, with a range of arts therapies, available for the first time in the UAE. Art Therapy is a form of psychotherapy where the expressive arts is the main form of expression.

We are pleased to welcome Natalia Gomez and Shereen Diab Kahil
to the ATIC team.

Natalia was born in Bogotá, Colombia; she has a degree in Psychology from Universidad de Los Andes, a Masters in Art Therapy from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago (SAIC) and is a Registered Art Therapist with the American Association of Art Therapy. She has practiced as a psychotherapist for more than 15 years in Bogota, Chicago, New York, Muscat, and now Dubai.

Natalia believes that the goal of art therapy is to help people learn from the challenges and difficulties, to develop tools that will aid us as we navigate this world and to activate change so that we may reach our highest potential. Natalia is fluent is English and Spanish.

Shereen Diab Kahil has over 15 years extensive experience in the fields of Psychology, Expressive Arts Therapies, and Human Resources. She obtained her B.A. and M.A. in Psychology from the American University of Beirut and a Post-Graduate Diploma in Expressive Arts Therapies from the Institute for Group Therapy and Group Dynamics in Vienna, Austria. Shereen is both a Professional Member of the International Expressive Arts Therapy Association (IEATA) as well as the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM).

Shereen provides expressive arts therapies to individuals, groups, and communities. She uses modalities in her work that include arts, writing, drama, movement, photography, and video, exploring the transfer between modalities and its potential to promote healing.
Shereen speaks fluent English and Arabic, as well as conversational French and German.

Arts Therapists are trained to Masters level and above.
