best way to transport personal effects (Dublin)

Hello!
I will be moving from Germany to Ireland (Dublin) very soon and I am wondering what would be the best way to transport my personal effects. I don't have any furniture or other big items, however, there are quite some books, pictures, clothes, etc. I guess it would make like Protected content suitcases...
Please share your experiences - I would be very happy to find the easiest way asap :)
