The Künstlerkeller (often called the Keller-Klub) is located inside the palace, but should not be confused with the Schlosskeller. The Künstlerkeller is located in the Parforcehof of the Darmstadt Residential Palace at Marktplatz 15, also known as Residenzschloss 1. The entrance is to the left of the ramp leading up to the bastion. The door to the cellar is a large double-leaf wooden door.
The Künstlerkeller captivates visitors with its unique, historic ambiance deep within the vaults of Darmstadt’s Residenzschloss. You’ll find a rustic vaulted cellar with solid, unplastered brick walls and round arches that create a cozy and almost mysterious cellar atmosphere. The furnishings consist mainly of sturdy wooden tables and benches that underscore the rustic charm.
You can look forward to Spanish tapas and Spanish wines.
