Join us at De Vaartkom in front of OPEK where we will start our short walk ‘from trendy renewed to ancient’.
Once a run-down industrial and brewery site near the canal, the Vaartkom area has since been transformed into one of the trendiest spots in the city. Come and discover how old and new blend seamlessly together, with a host of new restaurants and shops emerging around the harbor.
We’ll pass by the Dijlepark where you can find the special LEUVEN art work on to the final destination up hill, the hidden abbey De Keizersberg with stunning views over Leuven.
Here we’ll have a picnic following a 'Sharing is Caring' principle.
Bring your picnic blanket, lunch, drinks and favorite snacks from your home country so we can share and taste different international flavors.
