An International Book Walk & Exchange in Bucharest
What better way to spend the last day of summer than discovering beautiful bookstores, meeting new people from around the world, and giving a favorite book a new life?
On 31 August, we’ll meet in central Bucharest and start with a relaxed city walk with a literary twist.
Our little adventure will include:
📚 a visit to a hidden bookstore filled with books in English
✨ a stop at the beautiful Cărturești Carusel for browsing, photos and book inspiration
🍹 a final stop at a terrace, where we’ll have drinks, conversations and our book exchange
Bring one book with you
Choose a book you have already read, genuinely enjoyed, and would be happy to pass on to someone new.
Books can be in English or Romanian, and bilingual books are especially welcome.
Before the exchange, everyone will have a few moments to introduce their book and tell us:
“I brought this book because…”
Then the books begin their next chapter with a new reader. 🌍
If you want, add a little note inside your book with your first name, country and a few words about why the book meant something to you.
This is not a formal book club and there is no required reading.
It’s simply an afternoon for books, walking, discovering Bucharest, international conversations and meeting interesting people.
